Privacy Policy

Quietblade is local-first and needs no player account. The game uses Apple services for purchases and cloud save, RevenueCat for purchase validation, Google Mobile Ads for non-personalized advertising, and Aptabase for anonymous product analytics.

Who is responsible

Quietblade is provided by mpenapps, based in Greece, European Union. For privacy questions, contact mpenapps@protonmail.com.

Data in the app

Your hero state, inventory, event log, settings, anti-tamper integrity data, and private aggregate gameplay counters are stored locally on your device. Quietblade does not upload the full save or combat log. A compact session summary is sent to Aptabase as described below.

If iCloud is available, Quietblade mirrors its signed save through Apple’s iCloud key-value service so your progress can move between devices using the same Apple Account. Apple processes that data under its own terms and privacy policy. You can disable iCloud for Quietblade in system settings.

Purchases

Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple provides transaction identifiers and product status so the app can verify and deliver a purchase.

Quietblade uses RevenueCat to validate purchase history and help us operate purchases. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app-user identifier, device and app information, IP address, product identifiers, transaction and purchase status, and diagnostic events. We do not send your hero save, inventory, combat log, or local gameplay counters to RevenueCat. RevenueCat acts as our service provider and may process data outside the EEA using its stated safeguards.

Advertising and consent

Quietblade uses Google Mobile Ads. In regions where consent is required, Google’s consent platform asks for your choice before ads are requested. Google and its advertising partners may process app- or developer-bounded device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, ad interactions, diagnostics, and advertising data to deliver and measure ads, protect against fraud, and operate the service.

Quietblade may show a labelled banner, an app-open ad after a qualifying return, and an interstitial at an expedition break. Rewarded videos are optional and grant the disclosed in-game reward only after completion. Ad timing and close controls are provided through Google Mobile Ads.

Quietblade does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not access the iOS advertising identifier. It disables Google ad personalization for every ad request and disables Google’s publisher first-party identifier. Ads therefore remain contextual or non-personalized. Regional consent and privacy choices are still respected through Google’s consent platform.

Monthly Ad-Free and Lifetime Ad-Free disable automatic banner, app-open, and expedition-break placements while their access is active; neither removes the optional rewarded-video choice. You can revisit advertising privacy choices in Settings when that option is required and report an inappropriate ad by emailing mpenapps@protonmail.com. Quietblade does not itself combine your local game save with advertising profiles.

Diagnostics and analytics

Quietblade uses Apple MetricKit to receive low-overhead performance and diagnostic summaries on the device. The current version retains only a local delivery marker and does not upload MetricKit payloads. Apple may separately provide developers with aggregated App Store analytics and diagnostics under Apple’s privacy rules and your device-sharing settings.

Quietblade uses Aptabase, hosted in the European Union, for deliberately limited anonymous analytics. The app sends an app_opened event with level, area, and activity, and an app_backgrounded event with a compact gameplay snapshot and counts of actions performed during that session. The snapshot may include session duration, level, area, activity, health percentage, attack, in-game gold and supplies, equipped weapon level, defeated enemies, ad-free status, and session action totals. Quietblade does not send a name, email address, Apple Account, advertising identifier, persistent player identifier, precise location, save file, inventory item identifiers, or combat log to Aptabase.

Aptabase states that it does not use device identifiers, cookies, fingerprinting, or long-term user identification. Its events are used only for product analytics and are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. Anonymous analytics cannot be used to reconstruct an individual player’s history.

This website

This site is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process basic connection information such as IP address, browser headers, and security events to deliver and protect the site. We do not place advertising cookies, use website analytics, or build visitor profiles.

Legal bases, retention, and transfers

Local app processing is necessary to provide the game you request. Optional iCloud and purchase processing are performed to provide features you choose. Advertising processing is based on consent where required and otherwise on applicable legitimate interests or the provider’s stated legal basis. You may withdraw a consent choice through the in-app privacy options where available. Support emails are processed to answer your request and are normally deleted when no longer needed, subject to legal recordkeeping obligations.

Apple, RevenueCat, Google, their advertising partners, and Cloudflare may process data outside the EEA using safeguards described in their privacy documentation. Aptabase analytics are sent to its European Union region. Providers retain service data according to their policies and legal obligations. Local game data remains until you delete the app or its data; iCloud data is managed through your Apple Account. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat as required to validate entitlements, meet legal obligations, and prevent fraud.

Providers

Read the applicable provider notices from Apple, RevenueCat, Google, Aptabase, and Cloudflare. Open-source licence information is listed in our third-party notices.

Your European privacy rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdraw consent, or object to qualifying processing, and may complain to your local supervisory authority or the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. Because we do not operate player accounts or receive your local save, we may not possess data that identifies you. Email us to exercise a right.

Children and changes

Quietblade is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising requests are configured subject to the age rating and applicable platform settings; parents or guardians can contact us with concerns. We may update this notice when the app changes; the effective date above identifies the current version.
